Melha Mammeri first set foot on the stage in 1990. Since then, she has performed regularly and alternates with film sets. She has worked under the direction of many directors: Pascal Elbé, Mathieu Amalric, Béatrice Pollet, Olivier Barma, Laurent Herbiet, Alain Guiraudie, Yves Hanchard, Belkacem Hadjadj, Ivan Calbérac, Raphaël Jacoulot, Olivier Ducastel, Jacques Martineau, Olivier Jolibert, Bart Timmer… in front of the camera, and Pierre Debauche, Daniel Mesguich, Carlo Boso… in the theatre.

She is fluent in French, English and Kabyle and has notions of  Dutch and Arabic, which makes her a polyglot actress. In 2004 she attended the Atelier Scenario at the Fémis with Jacques Akchoti as workshop leader. She then went behind the camera and directed three short films, music videos, TV series pilots and a documentary for France Télévision. She is currently editing a documentary and has two feature film scripts in development. She has directed several musical shows including « La fiancée du soir », « Histoires singulières » and « Soirs de grand vent » which toured the Balkans as part of the Printemps de la Francophonie. Ah yes, she is also a singer…
