Berlin-based actor, originally from Duluth, MN (USA). Graduated with honors from the Moscow Art Theater in 2009, one of only two Americans and a handful of foreigners to have ever graduated from the traditional (Russian-language) acting program.

With a Golden Leaf award in hand for his MXAT performance of Hamlet (three years after beginning his studies of the Russian language), Odin immediately began working at Moscow's Satyricon Theater as a troupe actor. Two years of work at the Satyricon was followed by a five-year run as beloved intern Phil Richards on Russia's most popular sitcom "Interns".

In 2013, an unexpected invitation from famed director Kirill Serebrennikov ("The Student", "Petrov's Flu", "Leto") to play the lead role of Pavel Ivanovich Chichikov in Serebrennikov's staging of Nikolai Gogol's "Dead Souls" lead to 10 prolific years as a troupe actor at Russia's most renowned avant-garde theater - Gogol Center. Nearly fifteen premiers during that time, two Golden Mask nominations for best actor, multiple international festivals, including three residencies at Festival d'Avignon: "Dead Souls" 2016, "Outside" 2019, "The Black Monk" 2022.

In 2022 Odin premiered his first lead role in a feature film at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival: "Tchaikovsky's Wife" (directed by Serebrennikov) where he played the lead and titular role of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Guest artist at Hamburg's Thalia Theater since 2022 ("The Black Monk", "Barocco").

Next to be seen on the big screen in Serebrennikov's newest film "Limonov: The Legend of Eddie", where he plays five roles opposite British actor Ben Whishaw.
