Rudi Grieser was born in 1991 in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. He grow up in a poor household in Cologne. Despite his difficult circumstances he managed to go to the Gymnasium (higher school in Germany) and get his degree (Abitur).
During school he was a member of the theater club at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. 

After spending some time in a work- and living-commune where he worked primarily as a transport helper, he started studying acting at the Thomas Bernhard Institut at the Mozarteum Salzburg in 2015. His class won the price for best cast at the "Bundeswettbewerb deutschsprachiger Schauspielstudierender" (nationwide competition of german speaking actingstudents) which was held in 2018 in Graz, Austria.

He spend one year of praxis-study at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus as part of the cooperation between the Schauspielhaus and the Thomas Bernhard Institut.


From 2019 till 2022 he was employed at the Theater Ulm as an actor. During this time he played among others "Hitler" in Taboris "Mein Kampf" and "Lurch in the musical "Addams Family".

Currently he is living in Leipzig.

Rudi Grieser also works as an aspiring author and director.
