Ella Gittens graduated from The Lir Academy in Dublin with a Diploma in Acting and Theatre and is also a student at the Award winning drama school, Identity School of Acting, in their Advanced Under 21 group. Recently she just finished up as Betty in the production “Sara Sampson” with The Questors Theatre for her London Debut in February of 2024.

Recent credits include the role of Rose in the short film “THE LEAST I CAN DO” by filmmaker Seán Treacy which won Young Irish Filmmaker at Fresh Film Festival, was awarded a Jury award at the Belfast film festival and Best Director at The Tindies in New York along with many other prestigious awards. Ella played the lead role May in short film “MASKED”, shortlisted for the BIFF international film festival in Sweden and the lead role of Sorcha in YIFM short film “HEY NEIGHBOUR”. 

In 2020 she played the lead role of Jenna in “The Elect” in which she won an award for her performance in The St. Andrews One-Act Drama Competition.

In 2022 Ella was dual-cast in her last year of Kilkenny youth theatre and was elected as the well-being officer of the National Youth Theatre Youth Board.
