Gustavo Gusmão is an actor and producer with a
bachelor’s degree in Theater at the Pontific Catholic
University of Paraná - PUCPR. In 2010 he acted in the
play Antes do Amanhecer, directed by Cainan Baladez
where he received the award for best actor at the
Festival de Teatro Mapa Cultural Paulista. In 2013 he
performed in Corte Pálido, written by Andrew Knoll and
directed by Carolina Meinerz at Núcleo Pesquisa de
Dramaturgia do SESI-PR. In 2015, he played a character
in Urubu Comum, written and directed by Michelle
Ferreira. In 2016 he took a role in Paisagem em Campos
do Jordão, which gave him the best actor award at
Mostra Poéticas Cênicas at PUCPR. And in the same
year, he acted in Salomé, written by Fausto Fawcett
and directed by Carolina Meinerz and Nadja Naira
(Cia Brasileira). This play won seven categories of
the Gralha Azul award. In 2018 he performed in Ainda
Vivos, written by Diego Cardoso and directed by Marcos
Nascimento. At the Experimental Nucleus of Scenic Arts
SESI-SP he performed the play Festa, which premiered
in 2019 and was directed by Claudia Shapira (Núcleo
Bartolomeu de Depoimentos). In 2020 Gustavo Gusmao
debuted as a director with the short film Eu Não Minto.
