My ancestry originates from Edo Royal lineage - creators of the famous Benin Bronzes, as well as Ethiopian ancestry from Adwa / Aduwa, a town situated close to the 1896 Battle of Adwa site. I trained in Capoeira Regional with Masters Ponciano & Casquinhas. These Capoeira Masters appeared in a BBC ad featuring Capoeira atop a skyscraper, plus a feature in Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire. I trained in Alexander Technique with Kamal Thapen. My classical singing training is Bel Canto technique, which I am presently continuing with Trevor Alexander (LGSM) of ROH.
