Samuel Kay is a bilingual actor, classically trained and living in Rome.  He earned his MFA in Acting at UCLA. In front of the camera he recently starred in Francesco Cinquemani's latest movies, "Kid Santa" and "Billie's Magic World," acting alongside Alec Baldwin. He was the lead in "The Slaughter" directed by Dario Germani. He recently played Kent in “The Reaper” directed by David Wilson, he was Patrick in the series “Sanity” directed by Cecilia Albertini and Giulio the mechanic in the live cinema project "Distant Vision" directed by Francis Ford Coppola.  He also played the lead in Cecilia Albertini’s “Allegra’s Body Shop” which won Best Comedy Short at the Austin Film Fest and was the host of the 2019 Italian Holiday Videos for Rosetta Stone. On the stage Samuel played Flute/Thisbe in “Midsummer Night’s Dream” directed by SITI Company Director Ellen Lauren, Caesar in "Dark Days" directed by Gabriele Lavia, Tuzenbach in Chekov’s “Three Sisters” and has collaborated with artists like Fabrizio Gifuni(The Best Youth), Massimiliano Civica(Ubu Prize winner), Antonio Latella(Ubu Prize winner) and many more. During his time at UCLA he was awarded the Laura Pels Fellowship in Acting and the TFT Acting Fellowship. Acting teachers include Jeff Seymour, Peter Francis James(Yale); John Barton(RSC). Joeseph Mydell(RSC), Jack Stelhin(Julliard), Julian Glover(RSC), John Tucker(RADA), Fiona Shaw, Jean Louis Rodrigue(UCLA), Lucian Msamati, Leo Wringer(Guildhall), Mick Barnfather(Complicitè) and Christian Burgess(Guildhall). Samuel also attended BADA's prestigious Midsummer in Oxford Program and also has a conservatory degree from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome.
