Her career took off in 2003 when she was chosen by director Mimmo Calopresti for a small role in “La felicità non costa niente” (Happiness Costs Nothing). In the same year, she played Maya in “Fame chimica” (Chemical Hunger) by Paolo Vari and Antonio Bocola, and Bea in “Che ne sarà di noi” (What Will Become of Us) by Giovanni Veronesi.

In 2005, Solarino starred in “La febbre” (The Fever) by Alessandro D’Alatri, and in 2006, she appeared in “Viaggio segreto” (Secret Journey) by Roberto Andò. In 2009, she played a lesbian lover in “Viola di mare” (Purple Sea), a historical film directed by Donatella Maiorca that was presented at the Rome Film Festival.

In 2018, Solarino played the role of psychologist Anna in “As Needed”, directed by Francesco Falaschi.

In Spain, she is known for portraying Lucía Bosé in the biopic series “Bosé” (2022), produced by Banijay Iberia for Paramount SkyShowtime.
